At this current time I am having great difficulty with online dating and arranging dates. As a single mum with no real help nearby I am very limited to when I can go out and so for me chatting to men online is very convenient and an easy way to find someone I actually like.
For some reason I just cannot seem to get over the hurdle of arranging a date, maybe I am too picky, though I like to think of it as knowing my own mind.
It is very easy to hide behind a computer screen and be critical of the singletons available, however imagine being judgemental when face to face with the person. I read today that one of Saturday night’s favourite dating shows ‘Take Me Out’ is to also be broadcast in the States. I find it compelling to watch, yet I would never even consider becoming a contestant. When total ‘Blackout’ occurs (when the contestant leaves with no date) you cannot help but cringe and feel sorry for the poor guy who has to walk off the set alone. It is an extremely cruel way to physically judge someone and then critique what their family and friends think of them.
‘No Likey, No Lighty’ is now a well known catchphrase throughout the UK and I am sure the premise of the show will ensure viewers in the States will most certainly have their lights on for the programme.
