If you have attempted online dating but feel it is not getting you anywhere, besides speed dating and hoping to bump into a potential date in your local supermarket how else can you possibly introduce yourself to someone that catches your eye?
I recently came across Cheekd, a new concept in helping single people introduce themselves to someone they like the look of without having to worry about a “sales pitch”. Simply hand someone a personal card, almost like a business card, which features an identification number and the web address they need to visit. Once on the site they will be immediately directed to your online dating profile.
It is a fantastic concept, which works as an ice breaker it requires bare minimum interaction, great if you or the recipient are shy. The thought of slipping a card over a table towards someone is very cheeky and extremely novel. A membership is required by the person who hands out the cards and further details can be found on the Cheekd site.
I am all for attempting new dating tips and ideas in order to find my perfect partner and I will most definitely be giving the Cheekd cards a whirl.
Dipping your toe in the dating game really does require you to stand out from the crowd – though you do want to get noticed for the right reasons! Having a unique talent or interest is something to be proud of and definitely promote. An online dating profile should be well thought out, don’t rush to publish immediately make sure you do check through thoroughly for any mistakes. Make sure it is a true representation of yourself, if you do end up meeting a person from a dating site then the truth will always out! Though as I have mentioned in many posts before just go out and have fun, dating is supposed to be a fun experience and will certainly give you hours of gossip!
